Why have my tagged photo's suddenly disappeared?!?

I had over 5000 tagged 'photos of me' on Facebook. 3 days ago, I noticed they were all gone!! There are ZERO photos of me on Facebook, yet when I click on the tagged on photos on friends profiles of me, it is still showing as me being tagged and 'on my timeline' when it clearly isn't. I haven't touched any settings, have checked them all, have reactivated and deactivated my account (to no avail) and even new photos that I am being 'tagged in' show on my physical timeline but don't show up in 'photo
s of me.' I am guessing this is a glitch from the new lay out roll out.... but I am really upset about this as I love photos (hence the 5000) and I feel I have lost them. Friends can't untag and retag me - it doesn't work, so I am now looking at opening a new Facebook, deactivating this one, and starting fresh (not ideal). Any help appreciated - have logged 3 reports with Facebook, for no response. It is not an issue on any of the sites which list current issues with Facebook! Thanks team
All my friends still have their profiles and the photos - nothing has changed. I also tag myself in my photos and the photos are still there in the albums with the tags, however in my 'Photo's of Me' album where all your tagged photos are, there are none.... when I had around 5000. They all disappeared after the facebook roll out.

tagged photos are photos that someone else posted... if they delete or deactivate their account, they all disappear

did you recently deactivate and then reactivate your profile?
