Thanks for your advice. I have built some websites in the past, but am still learning the app design software and want to bring my idea to market relatively quickly. I am constantly researching and am looking at attending some conferences and courses.

Finding a tech partner is difficult, it is usually easier for a tech person to find a business partner than the other way around.

Put some time and effort into learning about the software development process (you don't have to become a coder), join startup weekends where you can pitch your idea and find developers to support you and so on.

But most likely you will be better off finding contract developers to help build your idea.

It is cheaper than you think and you don't have to go to China or India to find a cheap developer. There are lots of development houses that charge as little as $50 an hour to develop apps, but taking a share in the business idea so they can help you get your idea up as quickly as possible and take a share in the profits from the business.

You may well have to finance it yourself, it can be hard to find partners who share your vision or enthusiasm, most apps make little money, I trust you have exhaustively searched the stores for an existing implementation.

You might learn enough about App development to be able to manage outsourced workers, there are a variety of video courses on Udemy.com, if you have low technical requirements you might be able to use a simple app creator that eliminates the need to learn objective C, etc.

One game development/marketing course suggested one might get a basic game made for $300 while a 3D game might be closer to $1500. Commonly one would outsource a designer and a programmer./manager, some freelancer marketplaces: elance.com, odesk.com, vworker.com
