Facebook: Advertising?

[hiya]

So basically i wanna advertise something on facebook. it said the suggested price range is 86 cents to $2 per day (ill probably only do it for 2 days), and about 143 million people see it..... and i thought that was a really good deal.

But ive never advertised on Facebook before, so have any of you? Did it help? Do you think it's worth it??
