Facebook application privacy settings?

On Facebook, there is an application called "Social Interview" or "Friends Exposed" and every time I use it, it posts whatever I did on everyones' news feeds. I have tried to figure out how to make this private so that it doesn't show up on the news feed every time I do it. How do I make it private?

Go to Notifications

Unmark "Social Interview" or "Friends Exposed"

OR

Go to "Application Settings"
http://www.facebook.com/editapps.php
Choose Application > "Edit Settings" > "Additional Permissions"
Unmark "Publish recent activity (one line stories) to my wall"
