Yah in Facebook they say EARN COINS!!! But what are they exactly and what do they do???

They're basically pointless. The only time I've had the option to 'use coins' was when I got sent an animated bumper sticker, and needed to use coins to put it onto my profile. You get a bunch of coins if you do company surveys, so the coins are bascially on facebook for advertising. Hope this helps (:
