Is it odd that my friend "Hides" her Friend List on her Facebook?

My friend whom I just met is a nice girl. But when I checked her facebook, and tried to look at how many "Friends" she has, it only shows "her mutual" friends with me, and So since I just met her, the only mutual friend we have is well, Me. So My other friend and I looked at how many "Likes" she got on her facebook profile picture and she got 8 "likes" but we can't tell if that is Alot or a little because we don't know how many facebook friends she has. What do you guys think about her hiding her friend list?

There's nothing wrong with that. People have different views on privacy. Maybe she's protecting her privacy as well as her friends's privacy. Does it really matter if you know how many friends she has? Life is hard enough to be worrying about someone's popularity.

i don't think its weird, why would that be. some people just wanna keep some things private.
for example i have my friend list hidden as well and people can see only mutual friends. my reason for that is because i have some friends on fb that are in a band or more well known, or have been on tours etc. and i just don't want people to know that - for all i know they could start stalking them, adding them etc.
