Why so many ads on Facebook?
I use Facebook for just keeping up with long distance family members. I don't go on any of the games nor respond to ads. I went on the site just to see how a friend was doing since she was ill. I was shocked with the ad in the right hand corner.

It really is getting annoying with all the ads and advertisements on the web, especially TV. There's an ad between the middle now a running ad on the right hand side. It said that we can opt-out but it doesn't work. I checked my spyware to see if it picked up any adware. I cleared all the cookies on my browser. I feel like we're living in commercial sometimes. I was watching a primetime TV show and counted the commercials. The show came on for 8 minutes, commercial, tv show, commercial after only two minutes. I get so fed up with ads that I am now using my dvr to record the show then fast forwarding through the commercials.

Is there a way to turn off the adware and ads on Facebook? Who is sick of all the commercials too?
Thanks.

Mark Z has to make his millions somehow.

There are so many ads all over the internet, I think I've become ad blind.

Wow, do you all work for Facebook? Everybody in their right mind should hate the ads.

If you use Firefox as your browser, you should be able to find an ad-blocking plugin. They're terribly handy.
