Why is my Internet Explorer crashing as soon as I open it?
Every time I try opening Internet Explorer a message appears saying "Internet Explorer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". Then it just shuts down. One time it did work randomly but I had no clue what I did to make it work. What could be the problem and how can I fix it?
I normally use google chrome but Im starting to play League of Legends and in order for me to play my Internet Explorer needs to work.

I had this happen not long ago and it took me a looong time to figure it out and with a ton of research.

One of your add-ons in IE may be causing IE to crash.

1.)

Open IE
Click on the tools icon, upper right corner
Select Manage Add-Ons
In the Nav Pane to the left are categories to select
Top one should be selected as default, if not click on it
Look to right and all the add-ons
Not sure how many you have and turn off one at time to find culprit or turn off those you don't need.

Repeat for each selected category to the left.

2.)

If you cannot get into tools by opening up IE because it is crashing, go to:

Start
Control Panel
Internet Options
Click on Programs Tab
Click On Manage Add Ons and fix it from there.

3.)

Last option:

Click on:

Start
In the Search Box Type: Internet Explorer
Once you see Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons) Right Click on it and send it to desktop as a shortcut, use IE with no ADD-ONS.

Good Luck!

I was having issues earlier today with chrome and all it took was updating my graphics card drivers for some reason. Other than that, does it give you more info about the error? Often there will be something to show an error log or "more details" those are helpful for us to see if you can get the info Smile
