Satan wanted to experience/test jesus Christ three cruel experiences .
The first concern the food
«satan said to jesus: if you are the son of God , make this stone a bread» (luke 4: 3).
the Second experiment concern(wing of the temple ): <<if you are the son of God throw yourself from here to down here (luke 4: 9-11)
The third experiment :
Then Satan brought Jesus to high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in one moment of the time . And said to him:if u prostrated to me, All for you » (Luke 4: 5-7)
any believer sane person never believe or even think that satan tries god with experiences as food or hunger , how satan brings god to a mountain for trivial things such as these .

Jesus was being tested in his own mind trying to decide what he should be in the world. The bread symbolized not just feeding himself but all the world. The temptation of jumping off the cliff was to show the world who he was through miraculous signs, and the last was to make himself a political leader and rule the world.
