How do I delete my kik account?

I'm trying to re-register my kik account under the same email. In other words I want to delete the account and register again under the same email.

I've gotten the email to deactivate my account. I clicked where it said "click here to deactivate your account" It gave my the confirmation that it was deleted but when I tried to register with the email, it said that It's already registered under that email - even though it told me that it was deleted.

What do I do? I really want to use that particular email.
