Marketing a crowdfunding site?
So I am working on an app that takes the barcodes of items found in everyday stores and turns them into a scavenger hunt. Winners get prizes and well that's the basics of it. I've hired a company to help me market the crowdfunding site but I'm curious if anyone knows any good places to market my crowdfundong site for free online just to bolster extra support.
Thanks.

That bar code game sounds nothing like Crowd Funding as I know it:

"Crowd funding or crowdfunding (alternately crowd financing, equity crowdfunding, or hyper funding) describes the collective effort of individuals who network and pool their resources, usually via the Internet, to support efforts initiated by other people or organizations. Crowd funding is used in support of a wide variety of activities, including disaster relief, citizen journalism, support of artists by fans, political campaigns, startup company funding, movie or free software development, and scientific research."

Certainly you would want to show up in search engines, there is plenty of SEO help available, starting withe people offering $5 packages on Fiverr.com a few are decent. While a large part of SEO involves securing related external links, your part could be getting commonly search phrases into your site, perhaps starting by generating a shopping list of phrases to incorporate in your titles and content when they naturally fit.
