Someone hacked into my fb, How is that even possible?

I have a quick question.
How is it possible to hack someones fb account?
When the person does not know your the fb password/nor do you guys share computers.

This happened to me recently, a person hacked my account and was able to see old messages that I had even deleted.

How is that possible?

-Is there some type of software?

He knows none of my passwords.

This is possible in a few ways:

1. You could have left your Facebook open on your phone and left the phone with this person for enough time for him to look into your account.

2. You could have left your Facebook open on your computer when this person was at your house and left him alone with it for a while.

3. This person knows you well enough to have figured out what your password could be.

It's not difficult if you know someone to figure out what your password is. I'm sure this person didn't figure it out in a day, but over time, he hit the right one.

Now that he knows your Facebook password, you need to change it to something random. Don't use names of people you know or things you like to do. Use random numbers along with a combination of upper and lower case letters. Also, if you use the same password for everything, you need to change your passwords or next time, he will get into something more important than your Facebook.

Turn on the 'must send you a text' to log in option. It wont happen again.
