Are Yahoo Answer Backlinks Good for SEO?
Firstly am I correct in understanding that once one achieves level 2 status (250points), one can put relevant live links into the resource box.
Secondly does Google consider these as valuable back links for website owners with regard to SEO, does anyone have experience of this?

The live links you get after reaching level 2 don't provide any real SEO value because they are tagged NoFollow. Some seem to find find the direct traffic from links worthwhile, but source links to ages unrelated to the question can get you deleted.

Some spammers use robot spam posters in a slash and burn approach with multiple accounts that get quickly deleted. Do your part with these unhelpful posts and hit the Report Abuse link.

Yahoo answer backlink is not that high quality, backlinks are important but currently especially google rate your site base on quality not quantity. What I mean is the quality of your baclinks not the quantity if backlinks. High PR backlinks are considered high quality of backlinks. So, in my opinions, better focus on creating high quality backlinks rather just focus on the numbers. I know a place to purchase this high quality backlinks. Hopefully it will be helpful to you. http://advertising-emperor.com/backlinks/

Some SEO experts think NOfollow is almost waste and useless. But in reality Nofollow backlinks too have some value.. First traffic brought back from any part is valuable for traffic is a major factor for Page Rank which in turn is major factor in SEO ranking, Furthermore Even no follow links gets value when 2 sites have every factors (like DOfollow backlinks and other SEO factors) then Search Engines will start to consider Nofollow as a factor to decide rankings.

Once simple fact will remain true forever "Potential(related) traffic from any source is valuable and are helpful in Search Engine Optimization.

SEO stands for “search engine optimization.” It is the process of getting traffic from the “free,” “organic,” “editorial” or “natural” listings on search engines. All major search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing have such results, where web pages and other content such as videos or local listings are shown and ranked based on what the search engine considers most relevant to users. Payment isn’t involved, as it is with paid search ads.
