I have very few friends and last year I reconnected with old school friends on Facebook, i was so happy, but then things started to turn very dark, on woman seemed to have it in for me, and a few weeks ago she told everyone on line that I had reported her to social services as a bad Mum which I didn't everyone turned on me called me horrible names and sent me disgusting messages. they all believed I did it.
I keep being told to get over it, but i can't, i find it plays on my mind because i don't like people thinking that i did this thing.
it has torn me apart, and I am not able to cope anymore,

its very difficult to stopping thinking of something that is unfair,
im not on facebook, so I can only suggest that you absolutely deny doing anything of the kind, and tell them how upset you are at the woman saying it was you that reported her.
then I would delete facebook for good.
The next thing to do is to look for a way to meet new people and look for a new way of life.
I would start by volunteer work, your local charity shops would welcome your help, and you can do as many hours that would suit you.
don't let one woman spoil the rest of your life, and I wish you the best of luck

Delete FB it is a useless site and is used by sad people who want to get at people. There are masses of groups to join and the library will have lists. The WI can be great fun also the NWR. I have joined a Tai Chi class, there are walking groups, night classes, day classes, hobbies. You need to get out and join people and have some fun.
Good Luck

I agree with the others- get off things like FB and focus on meeting real people. Try classes at your library, adult education, find a sport or physical activity you enjoy- try anything/ everything- rambling, cycling, swimming, aquaaerobics, your local leisure centre, read the local paper for whats on info, try volunteering in a field that interests you- supporting your local hospice, church, Rotary, become a guide leader, a dog walker, get a partime job, foster an animal or child

good luck, i hope you find something to take you into a new and happy life
