I started using the internet in 2001. The first time I had used a computer was in 1993 when I was completing a short course on how to write a resume. I used the old WordPerfect 3.1. Then in 1998 I had completed a Microsoft Windows 98 course which confused me as I had no knowledge about the internet. I really wasn't interested in using the internet because I was mainly busy working full time in the blue collar industry and never could afford to buy a computer. I have only had an email address for eight years. Since then my computer skills have improved.
I know of many people my mature age who don't use a computer nor do they want to learn about accessing the internet. |
