I am a private eye and author - low sales on my e commerce website to sell the book. Help me with ideas.?

I am a 25 year currently licesensed private investigator and author. I wrote an electronic 217 page electronic guide book and the book instantly is made available upon payment with a visa or master card. It's a really great tool to do a do it yourself background check on anyone with a name and approximate age. The book is long - 217 pages - so maybe that is why sales are virtually non-existant. I have had my web site up for almost two years. I admit, i suck at marketing and sales and just wanted to make a buck. the book is so long because it's valuable as a 50 state guidebook with over 3000 live links. So if you check joe blow in michigan and he doesn't have a crimminal background, but you also know he lived in New York and it comes up instantly that he is a felon in new york, but most people dont know you have to check all places your subject lived or was. I am asking for help. Why have I sold so few books? How can I sell more books? What should I do. I am still practicing p.i. work and thats cool, but nobody understands my book is great and easy. I know its not for everyone. You have to know how to operate a computer and very elderly people cant. Any marketing suggestions would be appreciated.

I am also an author who faced the same problem many moons ago. I was told to write blogs and articles and all sorts which hacked me off because it looked like it would add up to the same amount of text as the book itself!

Share your book info with as many people as you can, on social medias, forums and blogs. Also you can put your book on eBay to attract more people.
