My internet connection disappears when i hang out the phone.?

I have an ADSL connection. I use a splitter to connect my phone and Modem to the telephone lines. whenever I hang out the phone, the internet connection disappears.....when i pick it up...tadaaa.....can someone tell me the reason..I think its the telephone lines somewhere touching.....sometimes it disappears when I pick up the phone....and sometimes its normal.....

do you have adsl filters plugged into your phone-line socket....your broadband supplier gives you them for free

idk what 'hang out the phone' means but if you are trying to say that when youre on the internet you lose the phone connection it's because theyre not on separate lines. (i think) anyway, call your provider. they can help you.

maybe you connect on the dial-up mode

create a new internet connection by going to control panel-> network connections -> create a new connection -> click next on the wizard ->
connect to the internet & next -> set up manually& next -> chose one of the bottom two options and the wizard will guide you
