Why is he talking to me again?

Okay so this guy is talking to me again after dumping me 3 months ago. I posted a before and after photo from where i was fat and what i look now. And suddenly he keeps liking my photos. Then he liked a photo i uploaded on instagram with a quote "We were never really inlove, but, oh God, we could have been."
and a photo of a couple who workouts together with a caption "i gotta find my swolemate"

why is he doing this? or am i just thinking too much? btw we didn't worked out bec of the distance.
