Best ways to get into events management/hospitality management?
I am interested in finding some sort of training to become management within the events industry or within the hospitality industry, they've always interested me and I've been in and out of employment within both sectors.
I always look for training/apprenticeship opportunities within the roles but its always a dead end. I don't really want to go to university because of the debts that come with it.
Does anyone know where's best around the west midlands area that I could possibly find anything?
Yes I know that I need to have the specific Quals and training etc but my question is how do I or what's the best way to go about finding these kind of opportunities without having to attend a university? best companies that offer training/apprenticeships etc?

You can get in on the ground floor and work your way up - a lot of the background work require for events preparation is grunt work.

Without any management training though, you're not just going to enter management. There are many people who've graduated from specific programs in this that are ahead of the queue on you.

The most direct route with any hope of progression is with the relevant degree.

The uni debt sounds a lot but it is not. You do not have to pay it back until you are earning about 18,000 a year and then it is only £50 a month.
My daughter is earning £30,000 a year and it is only now that she is paying back £100 a month.

Overall it is peanuts in terms of a good future and if you never earn that amount the debt goes after so many years. Rethink this approach if you want to achieve this particular dream.
