My friend and I blocked each other on IG and now we want to unblock each other. But when we search each other's names, it says user not found. We can't even dm each other. What do we do?

The reason you can't find each other is because you blocked each other.
Go to a random photo and tag them in it. The once you tagged them tap on their name and go to their profile. The unblock them.

either make a new account and search your friend there or go to one of your friends account, click on a recent picture they took and see if your friend liked it.
