How to share the wired ADSL modem internet connection as wifi?

I am having a ADSL broadband modem which is quite good for my computer internet usage. It s having only the option of telephone cable input and ethernet cable output in it. The service providers told like that I can't use any other modem by replacing this one because it s configured for my profile. So I can't use wireless modem by altering this. Is there any other way that I can share this internet connectivity to mobile phones, laptops etc? Like wifi hotspot etc.? Can I relay the modems output as wifi?

Buy a router. Plug the ethernet cable from the modem into the router. Now plug your computers into the router. Simple to do and very fast to set up.

What you need is a WiFi router which is connected to your existing modem.

Connect you Laptop or PC Or Smart Phone to the Modem and use it.

yes this can be done but you still need a wifi adapter in the computer to send out the wifi signal for other computers to connect to this to share the internet.

modem plugs to computer and connected you need share this internet connection over the network via the wifi adapter using adhoc .

if you dont know what your doing may become a bit difficult but i have done this many times before routers was even out so it can be done.
