question about medication?
I've just been prescribed a low dosage of aripiprazole as a start to my medication, I know this is used for schizophrenia but I do not reckon I am that, there is also bipolar disorder I know which I'm not sure about but I don't experience psychosis that often so would say I'm schizophrenic. I know it's also used as an add on for depression but I am taking this alone, was just wondering what else my doctor could of described this for if they are more options?

Taking any form of toxic medication is poisoning of the mind and body. People need to get re-educated not medicated. THE RIGHT TO BE INFORMED See also fb page: Modern Medical Quackery for more info.

There are numerous medical and non-harmful alternatives to psychiatric diagnoses and psychiatric drugs, including standard medical care that does not require a subjective psychiatric label or mind-altering psychiatric drugs. Prescription drug addiction is the fastest growing drug problem in the U.S., and with 1 in 5 Adult Americans currently taking some form of psychiatric drug, and the addictive nature of these drugs, this page is for those looking for safe withdrawal or alternatives to psychiatric drugs. Although CCHR does not condone or promote any specific practitioner, medical organization, practice or group, we have found the below resources to be helpful for individuals looking for more information on the following topics: Psychiatric Drug Withdrawal Programs, Alternative Medical Non-Drug Treatment Programs, Non-drug alternatives for children, Alternative non-drug treatments for those diagnosed “schizophrenic”, legal resources and more. http://www.cchrint.org/alternatives/

If you have ANY psychosis, you have at LEAST schizophrenic tendencies. In any case, you are NOT happy with your symptoms. Go ahead and try it.

Keep a journal. Start with recording your current symptoms (pre-med). You are clearly intelligent and logical. Therefore conduct the experiment. Try the med. Record ALL side effects. More importantly, record all your symptoms. Log how they change (increase, decrease, or stay the same). Then, you have hard facts to take back to the psych. You need to know how the meds whill affect YOU. That is the best way.

Remember, you are not happy with your life. It is time for a change. Taking meds is the biggest thing you can do to take control of your life. Taking meds is proff that you are no longer going to be the punching bag for your symptoms! Taking meds means you are putting your foot down and kicking the symptoms where it hurts and sending them packing!

Taking meds puts YOU in charge and give YOU the power.
