What can i do to acquire the internet connection of my two pcs using a switch and an interner connection?
After establishing the network between the two pcs through the switch which worked perfectly fine. Only one of the pcs was able to acquire the internet connection. The other pc seem to be left out. When I try to connect, an error message comes that there is collision of ip addresses. What can I do to allow the two pcs the get the internet connection?

That is a new one on me. Call the company that made your router and they can talk you through it.

Software:

first thing, open up internet explorer and go to connections: open the Internet connection sharing wizard and follow the steps. It will tell you to reboot, then run the same thing on the other machine. After you do that, you will get both PC's to access the internet.

Make sure each computer has a different IP address also.

example: machine 1 is 192.168.0.1

make machine 2 192.168.0.2 or .3

Hope this helps!

You have to have a router to do this not just a switch.
