What SEO efforts can my employees do?

What SEO efforts can my employees do?
My company has a call center but most of the time they are sitting around not doing much. I would like them to help with our web traffic efforts which we have been working on very hard over the last year. We are doing full web marketing and seo for our company but I think we could utilize these guys to do a little more than just chill for most of the day.

Any ideas on what they could be doing? I was thinking they could work on some content to push like Press Releases and blog posts etc. Things that can benefit our seo efforts but dont require much seo knowledge to achieve.

Any other ideas would be appreciated!

how much staff do you have that sit around?

If they aren't working 95% of the time, get rid of some.

-------------------else....

have certain people write unique articles, using 5-6 primary keywords in each, 6-8 paragraphs long.
have 1 person strictly proof reading/editing each written document
have 1 person search the internet for PR sites to put content on, make a list of all the good places, and then have him upload the article online and optimize it for SEO with keywords
have 1 person strictly be in charge of a company blog (update once a day) - same person can do twitter & facebook

--------------------------------

It takes an hour to explain to someone what keywords are and how basic articles and help with SEO, you dont need education for it.

I think that you are spot-on with the suggestions, as short articles that you could then post as guest post could really be the way to go - no special SEO skills required and everyone should be able to contribute something. You will, however, need to do some research and try to get your articles to other websites, not just your own. Contact others that post guest posts, ask them if they would consider getting some from you, and get your links on their websites - that will definitely improve your SEO results!

With respect to posts on your company's website, this page has some great tips for gaining and holding viewer attention:

As for promoting your website, these articles have a seriously helpful and diverse range of ideas as to how to optimize through your content and promote your blog with other wbsites:

Last of all, you may want to consider working with keyword effectiveness index (KEI) values to help you determine which keywords to concentrate on so as to optimize your site. You can start doing some reading on KEI scores here:

Hope this helps, and good luck!

Besides writing content for Press Releases and blog spots they also can write positive reviews and can post them online for the benefit of the company.

Yes, they can write blog articles.

They can also scour the internet for images, videos, and gifs related to your business. You can then take the items they find and schedule them to go out on social media sources through a program such as hootsuite.com.

You can also have them look through your company website, look for type-o's or any errors. Use the site as your users would and see what kind of possible issues arise.

They can also look at websites for businesses that you would like to link to you. Find type-o's and broken links on those sites. Once you have identified issues, contact the site administrator and ask if they will change the broken links to go to your site instead if you have relevant content.

This is what i do when working with companies and they want to do some of the work in-house.

I would first assess their skill sets. Then select from any of the following projects to have them work on:
-guest blogging
-comment on blog posts
-social media sharing of your content
-create new domains and then link back to your site
-participate on forums

If you have a few skilled writers of students that write then have them guest blog. If they have no skills, give them the easier tasks of sharing the content that others write.
