My husband is almost complete with our company's website. We are new to the SEO concept. Can you please make suggestions based on how the website is now? http://www.automalab.com. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Use Joomla search engine friendly URLs option. There is a SEF URL addon for Joomla you might want to consider. Employ one of the site map components that are available for Joomla. Submit your site map to Google.

Make sure your home page contains the keyword or keyword phrases that people will search for when looking for your type of business. These keywords should also be in your keyword meta tag and description tag. Currently there are very few words that appear in the keywords tag that also appear in the description tag.

When asking for links to your site it helps if link text also contains keyword. The more incoming links from quality related sites the better for seo. Try to establish incoming links from computer vendors' sites, computer tech related blogs, "green" computing sites, etc.

Good luck.

1. Title Tag: Title tag should not have more than 60 characters. Put some keywords in the title tag. These keywords convey the message of the web site to the target visitors.

2. Description Tag: Maximum 150 characters are best for the description tag. A description tag should have all keywords regarding the website. It helps when a visitor types keywords in the search engine and then the search engine shows websites matching the keywords.

3. Keyword Tag: The maximum character in the keyword tag is 874. A single word should not be repeated more than 3 times. You can separate words by comma in the tag. You can intelligently use misspellings of the keywords by suspecting the fault from the visitors.
