CoolRom downloader keeps aborting?
Everytime I go to download a rom file from coolrom it aborts after I click Next. I'm confused because it used to work just fine but after a while it just stopped. The first time I used it was when I was downloading Pokemon LeafGreen but now it will abort that. I am confused and don't want to wait an hour just to download one rom so if anyone can tell me a solution or another website that download roms fast please do.

If it's a downloader it is most likely going to install junk you dont need. Google freeroms its a website. Always use direct download links

1. Install adblock. This will stop any ads from interfering with coolrom. It's free for Chrome or FireFox.
2. Connect your computer directly to your router/modem with an Ethernet cable to ensure no interference from anything in your house that may be messing up the download.
3. Be sure you have any sort of anti-virus disabled during the download. It doesn't know what a file with a GBA extension could possibly be, so it automatically assumes it's a virus. Incidentally, most also think .m4a, .swf, and .wav files are also viruses, but .dll files are totally cool. ...I don't get it either.

The downloader, at least in my experience, has just gone downhill... and it also install toolbars and other things now that you just don't need taking up resources on your PC. You can of course just download them directly from the site itself, just have to wait a few seconds for each file.

Since I started doing it that way, I have NEVER had any problem at all, thankfully. And nothing pauses or stops half way through - and the download speed is pretty darn good too!
