Is Samsung Galaxy Y a good android phone?

I have been using symbian and plan to switch to android. Galaxy Y looks like a good budget phone under 7k. Is it a good choice? Do most apps like Whatsapp, Instagram etc work on it? What are its pros and cons?

samsung galaxy y is not a good phone
it is low range cheap android phone
it hangs many time and perform very slow because it has less ram and less processor speed
as android need high amount of ram and processor
also it has bad call quality ,image and screen is also not very responsive
battery is only 1200 mah which is sheet
battery backup is very bad
and it does not support many apps because it is gingerbread android and have less ram and processor and it has not gpu

mark my words you will regret it after buying that worst device
if you want android phone then only buy high end flagship devices like sony xperia z
yes it is true lower and mid range android does not have good quality

and whatsapp ,Instagram this type of apps always continuously running in background
and drains battery faster also galaxy y does not have good battery backup because all android devices facing battery problems

i recommend you dont waste your 7k rupees on such rubbish phone
dont look others review all are brainwashed persons by using samsung cheap and poor quality phones

and all low and mid range androids have poor quality including samsung,sony,htc etc

you can buy nokia lumia 520 at around 11 k rupees
it support all apps as your need
it is very great windows 8 phone in that price range

GALAXY Y is a basic phone. Most apps will run in it.

But its design and user interface are very poor.

If u can stretch to Rs 8200, go for XPERIA TIPO.

It comes with Android 4.0, has excellent built quality and superb user interface.
It runs most games easily and is very compact in size.

Also, the SONY brand is much better.

galaxy y is a nice phone but i would prefer
samsung galaxy S or an iphone 3gs
android phones have many superb apps like bittorrent , ocean aquarium 3d etc
you can go to many sites for downloading apps compatible with your phone

Buy nokia lumia 520 for 10500 . Don't buy sony xperia tipo it has got echo and touch problem search in net for detail . Even don't buy micromax because price is less but quality is very poor not reliable

This is not good at all. It only good for the small budgeted phones.
You need to make comparison for that...
