you cant
its the only way facebook makes money i would suggest that you start to use internet explorer i stopped using chrome after i used ie ever since i tried it and the adds arent that much annoying they just sit there in the left of the screen hope i helped |

the best solution for removing ads on facebook that i have found is the FB Purity browser extension. It not only removes the ads in the side bar, but it also removes the sponsored stories in the newsfeed. and also lets you hide the Trending Articles / Trending Videos (which are basically ads) and any other types of news stories that you dont want to see such as "likes" "facebook questions" "facebook games" "facebook applications" etc, it really cleans up the facebook experience, leaving just the stuff i do want to see.
