Pictures won't show up on my computer?

First off, I am not very computer smart so cut me some slack.

Just today, I went on Facebook and none of the background pictures will show up. It's just boxes with the little red x. It's everywhere. On here, too. Again all the pictures I should be seeing (like people's profile pictures) are little boxes with red x's. I've tried restarting but it doesn't work. Any ideas as how to fix this? And please speak English.

Seems like you are using Internet Explorer to access Facebook. IE has many bugs and incompatibilities.
Check if the Show Images in settings is turned on.

Switch to a better browser, like Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
