is it wrong to look at facebook profile of x girlfriend without her knowledge ?
just happened to check out the facebook profile of a girl i knew from home town/ high school , we don;t really get along and not friends long story , know she'd never add me as a friend . and she doesn;t even know i was looking at it .

felt guilty looking at her proflle without her knowledge , what do you think about this ? wrong of me to look or ok or does this happen all the time ?

She posted her profile on the internet and didn't set it to private, obviously, so she apparently doesn't mind having everyone looking at her profile. Tell her that if she finds out or confronts you about it.

The internet is public domain...anything an individual post with out security precautions is fair game for everybody else. (that is why facebook and myspace have the Privacy settings)

Internet is public if she want someone to see her profile she would have made it private, you have nothing to feel bad about.
