How does this letter to my crush sound? Please everyone give me your opinion or tips?

Heck I would give you all a million if you helped me out with this.I have had a crush on him since I was five. We had a big arguement when we were fourteen and I told him I never wanted to talk to him again. Well I am now eighteen and I added him on facebook,the only problem is he never gets on facebook,he just accepts invites so contacting him on there isn't an option. I commented on his twitter but he doesn't get on there much so he might not notice it for weeks. I live around the corner from him in the neighborhood. The on;y problem is we go to different schools so I can't see him at school. I went to a football game he was playing in and I got a picture taken with him afterwards but people were so busy talking to him I wasn't really able too,he gave me a big hug though. I have found myself walking by his house while walking my dog hoping he'll be outside. What should I do? I want to go say hi or something but my mom is strictly old fashioned and says a girl should never contact a guy and I do agree but he and I used to be friends.
I have decided to ignore my mom and write him a letter. I'm changing his name in this for privacy reasons.
