HELP, Timeline: Photos I'm tagged in not showing up?

I was tagged in my friends' photos on facebook which are public to all or "friends of friends".
My privacy settings have all posts and tags viewable by friends.
I have tag review turned off.
When I click on the photos they say "On Your Timeline"
The photos are dated today/yesterday

YET THEY DO NOT APPEAR ON MY TIMELINE
I can't see them; no one else can either.

To see the photos you have to click on "Photos" and see them-- the big display on timeline is gone.

The weirdest thing is that I saw them briefly yesterday- now they are gone. Other friends who are tagged have them on their timelines.
What am I doing wrong?
They are still dated "yesterday" and appear on other friends' walls who are tagged

my first thoughts are that the person changed the date of the picture to something in the past... because the timeline puts everything in order by date

go back to the picture (in photos) and look at the date, then go back to your timeline and find that date

they arent in the order of when the pictures were posted anymore
