Is my privacy settings on facebook not working?

I have made it so my family on facebook cannot see the wall posts I make, however I still get daily questions from my mother asking who someone is, what something means, why did I say that, etc..

I thought this was supposed to be out of her view after the settings that I made. Are the posts that I make still visible to EVERYONE if they go on my profile, regardless of settings?

I just don't like these awkward questions, family on facebook shouldn't have mixed.

You cant hide then posts on your wall. you can only hide it from the people who arent your friends.

Which means that your family members are part of your friends list thats why they can view all the stuff going on

You should re-check your privacy settings.Go to privacy settings in your account and enable your 'friends only' settings.Make sure your family members are out of your friend list.

Or you can create a new list, drag your family to that list so they are not shown on Friends. And then set your post seen by friends only.
