Yeah, you set it so only "Friends of friends" can view your page.

though they say you get the option to do that, i don't believe it works. In your privacy settings it says who can view your profile and whatnot, and I have myself hidden, but I still have gotten the no mutual friends friend requests. I believe the only privacy you get is that your facebook wont come up on google and such..

Yes, Facebook actually has quite a few privacy options. When logged into your account, click the little down arrow (next to "Home") in the upper-right of the website, and select Privacy Settings, then click Edit Settings next to Profile and Tagging. I believe these are the options you seek. Read them carefully and adjust them as you see the "problem" you don't like.

I only know this to work for posts on your wall. Some other things are difficult to hide, esp with that new section in the upper-right.

Under how you connect change all the settings to friends or friends of friends.
Also ensure you don't comment or like public content because this will allow people to find you on Google and get to your profile that way.

In privacy settings under 'Control Your Default Privacy" click the Friends or Custom icon, and under "How to connect" select "friends" for "Who can look up your timeline by name?"
