how can i switch it back?

Unfortunately there is no way to switch back to the old design after you upgrade to the new Facebook profile. As Facebook is implementing this change gradually, sooner or later all the users will have the new profile, and there is no way back from it.

You actually can get the old facebook back. Go to http://www.kamranweb.com/blog/how-to-get...book-back/ and it will give you the directions. But after the New Year everyone will be on the new facebook and then you can't change it back.
