How do you get rid of your facebook timeline?

I only set my prorfile to the timeline because I just wanted the cover picture to show. Now I'm SO sick of it moving down every time I try to check my page! Is there any way I can switch back to my old profile so i won't have to make a new account (just so it can be regular again)??

No, you can't do that. please note that there are some pages which declair that they can help you to get rid of by liking their pages, share the links or whatever, don't believe it as most of them are scam! FB had never introduce the ways to off your timeline. bare with it =)

you can go back to viewing the old profile page format instead of timeline pages by following this simple guide:

there is no way to remove it - everyone is being converted to the timeline - it's the new look for facebook, not an optional update

There's no way to undo the Timeline upgrade. Although for the moment Facebook did not make a clear statement in any of its official pages about how the upgrade would be deployed, and as a consequence there is a lot of false information going around, experienced users know that Facebook upgrades of this size have never been optional.

Besides, there are clear evidences that indicate that there will be no way to go back to the old Profile. Take a look at the article in the source to see what those evidences are.
