I went to "setting" then "general" and it says i have version 4.2.1.. What can i do to install instagram? I had instagram before but now it won't let me install it & I got pics on instagram :/ . I can only install some apps. It won't let me install facebook nor twitter.. Wtf

Look for a software update for your device

Just go update it on iTunes. Then you can download it. If it's a 4g, then you can update it. I'm not sure about 3gs. But for 2g and 1g, you won't be able to update it.

Update your iPod to iOS 6. Most older iOS devices with outdated software can no longer install apps. However, if you update your software to iOS 6, you will be able to install any app. Unfortunately, if you have 2nd Gen or 1st Gen iPod Touch, you won't be able to update your software.

I think you have to update the i pod touch to iOS 4.3 version. On the terms and policies things they have said you can update all the decimal ones like 4.1 to 4.2 but you cant go from 4.5 to 5.0 if you get what i mean. This means you should be able to update your i pod. Also, this is just a guess, did you check if your apps needed updating. They might have not worked because they needed updating. But for Instagram I think you need to update your i pod touch. Hope this helped. And sorry i this didn't make any sense.
