If i remove a picture of me from facebook timeline is it permanently deleted?

I want to remove certain pictures of me from my timeline that i dont want anyone to see, but i dont want to keep them permanently as i would like to keep.
And if there not permanently deleted, where can i find them. When i got into my photos then later they are gone?

No. It's still in your photos folder.

There is nothing as permanent as something you have uploaded to Facebook. There are probably 100 backups of it in vaults all over the World. Aliens who discover this world 1000 years from now will be able to view your pictures.

If you delete your photos they will be gone "permanently"..if you hide from timeline they are still in the folder you put them in, they are just hidden from your timeline
You can move them to a folder and make them visible only to you
