how does yahoo, google, facebook, etc. ads know what sites im visiting?
For example, if i'm searching cars, the ads will be always about cars. Even if I reset my browser or my computer, when i go on yahoo, the ads are about cars.
Or if i go to the forex website, there will be ads on stock trading or forex.

and etc.

how do these websites know what site im visiting and advertise based on that??

cookies are small text files generated by visits to pages. they are made of double pairs, variable and value. It is possible to track variables such as time, IP address, and many others. See the comic strip: http://learn-creative-visualization.com/...verything/
