Facebook apps wont go away!?
I noticed that after i deleted a facebook application, i still get notifications from them. also when other people go to the apps page they see that i'm a user as well. How do i really get rid of the applications that i used? There are a few that dont go away... like the game sorority life.

You can remove an application you have authorized to your account by clicking on the "Applications" button at the left end of the Chat bar at the bottom of any Facebook page. In the menu that appears, click on the "Edit" link and you’ll be taken to the Edit Applications page. From there, click on the "Edit" link to the right of the application in question. Finally, click on the "Remove" link to the right of the application in question.

When you receive a request you can click block this application. It's in small blue print underneath the request. You shouldn't receive anymore requests for that app.

Block the application, and if the application is no longer showing up on your application lists, than re-add the app, then block it, and then delete it.

If your still getting notifications, which is possible, but unlikely, *depends on the app developer*
than you should contact the developers, telling them to remove you from their database, if they refuse, than contact facebook, and report them for abusing the TOS

if your looking for new apps tho, you can try
http://apps.facebook.com/pewpewbangbang/
you won't get any notifications, once you've deleted it, in fact you don't even need to delete it to stop getting notifications from it.
