if you are using firefox or chrome, you may install an add-on called adblock or adblocker, it will take out all of the ads in all of the webpages including Facebook.

For the normal ads that facebook inserts (including sponsored stories, trending articles/videos, application spam and other facebook junk that you wish to get rid of, i recommend the FB Purity browser extension, as it lets you hide the normal facebook ads, games and apps and sponsored stories, and other facebook peddled junk that you dont want to see.

If the ads you want to get rid of are entitled "Ads not by Facebook", the ads are being inserted by a type of program known as Adware, to get rid of them run an antimalware scan using a program called malwarebytes antimalware or another one you can try is superantispyware, both are very good and that should get rid of the problem.
