How to hide friends box on facebook profile?

I always set my friends box on my profile to "only me" so it doesn't show up to anyone on my profile because otherwise my friends add my other friends that they don't know and it gets annoying.
But ever since facebook set these new privacy settings, when I click on the pencil icon next to the box to change my visibility settings to 'only me', it just takes me to the new privacy settings page which doesn't have an option for my friends list whatsoever!

Is there a method that I'm missing or is it impossible now?
