How do I remove other peoples pictures of me on my Facebook profile?

I have photos on my profile that other people tagged me in before I had facebook. Even though they aren't proper tags they still show up on my profile and in my tagged pictures (my name appears in grey rather than the usual blue) It doesn't let me untag myself which is really annoying because I don't want those photos on my profile. Is there any other way of removing these photos from my profile besides untagging?

There isn't actually any other way to get it off besides untagging yourself. You could try asking the person to please remove your name from the picture or even delete the picture. Otherwise if it is offending, you can report the picture! Hope that helps
