Can you see what groups other people are a part of on Facebook?

I have looked, but I can't find any place on other people's Facebook profiles that shows what groups said other people are a part of. Other than a Facebook news/wall update that someone joined a group, is there no other indication on a person's wall that he/she is a part of a group

If you can see people's groups, how can you hide a specific group?

i dont think you can see groups on there facebook profile you can only see it if you are viewing the group list
