Put ur account on Facebook, you tube, tumblr, every other social network site that you have. Put it on here, on any other thing that you have, literally EVERYWHERE!
Try and get celebs to follow you so other people will be encouraged
RT other peoples stuff A LOT
Msg people a lot
Ask random people on Twitter to follow you, nicely!
Put a lot of funny pictures up
Ask for shout outs

create a tumblr blog, gather followers there, and then promote your twitter account.

create a youtube video asking for followers and do some crazy stuff

reply to celebrities with very polemic tweets

get on the follower train, searching for followxfollow trends on twitter
