How to hide birthday on facebook?

I want to make my birthday not show up on my friend's news feed and see who actually remembers it without facebook telling them.

To adjust how your birthday appears to your friends, click the Update Info button (under your cover photo) and find your Basic Info section.

then click EDIT INFOMATION
your birthday will be there with a drop down menu next to it,click on DONT SHOW MY BIRTHDAY
save changes.
