How to send junk mail right to the trash!?

Ok, So i am on a few groups on facebook and every single time someone posts something or comments on a post- an email is sent to me to let me know! It is so freaking annoying!! Is there anyway that i can block it from my email? If so how?\

Log in to your Facebook account at http://www.facebook.com.

Click on the "Settings" link located near the upper right corner of the page.

Click on "Notifications" under the My Account heading.

Select "Off" for each of the desired categories, and then click the button at the bottom to save the changes.
