How do you send direct messages on twitter?

Nobody is on my list to send a direct message too. (On twitter)

First of all you have to be following the person you are trying to message or he/she is following you. Then you either go to your followers or following page and go to the person then there should be some buttons next to him/her. Click on the one with the scroll down bar and choose "Direct Message".

1Log into Twitter via the Twitter homepage.

2Browse to the Twitter direct messages inbox, or click the "Direct Messages" link in the right sidebar.

3Select the intended recipient's username from the drop-down menu.

4Compose your private message. Verify the message is correct, because you can't change it once you send it. Click "update" to send the direct message.

You can only send direct messages if someone is already following you.

Otherwise you have to use send "replies" by typing someones name and send
a regular tweet, for example

"@simpleology202 thanks for you tip on how I can win $5000"
