Does he like me or just being friendly?

So a few months ago i started at a new college and there was this guy in one of classes who was super shy and didn't really talk. Then one day we were all being crazy and he kept poking me and trying to touch or pinch me. Now he teases me ALL the time when we are in class and the other day he tried to hold my hand. Is this flirting? However he seems all shy again outside of class and when i see him his friends always smile at me and he looks down, and on Facebook i always start the convo. I also asked him if he had a girlfriend on facebook (I'm really starting to like him) and he didn't reply then a few days later he asked why i asked. Then he told me he was single and had never had a girlfriend. Then the other day i saw him at this party and he is always talking about himself and how he is so manly and 'doesn't feel the cold'. Is he trying to prove himself to me or something? He often tells me to 'go away' and 'shut up' in a jokey way. Does it sound like he likes me?..what should i do?? Im really falling for him..
We are both 16 by the way. Almost 17..

But i'm guessing your his first
so don't rush into it and don't make a big fuss about it cause you might be his REAL first crush or love.. don't embarrass him cause by the looks of it he gets embarrassed easily.
i think he is tryna prove himself not only to you, but too himself, the fact that he is taking his time and all of his courage to talk to you and officially stating how 'manly' he is, proves his innocence and naiveness. try to get to know him more and hang out with him but i think you will be the first to say that you like him unless he builds up the courage to do so. good luck chica..
