Adding friends on facebook?!?

So I've recently made a new facebook account, and all of a sudden I'm unable to add the people I search for. Has this happened to anyone else?
Do you know how I am able to add my friends?
I've literally only just made an account, and it won't let me add any of the people who were on my old account.
It won't let me message them either.

i think you got banned for adding people or something or maybe its those peoples privacy settings because people can change their privacy settings to no one can add them on facebook and only they can add you or something. try having those people add you instead and see if it will help

Search for the person you want to add then click on their profile, at the top you will see an "add friend" button or somthing, if that doesnt work just message them and get them to add you

on FB if new account holder sends so many request in one time than they blocks account for 1 day or 3.
you can ad your all buddies from you e-mail account....

You probably aren't on a particular network yet.Yes when I first made an accountant I was so lost,because most of my friends don't let non-friends see their profile,but luckily one person did so I added her and once she accepted I browsed through her friends and added the ones I knew and it was simple from then on.
You should ask your friends to suggest some friends for you.
Yeah you can't message people because you're not friends with them yet
